The main component of the molybdenum electrode is molybdenum, which is obtained by powder metallurgy process. The general molybdenum content of molybdenum electrode is 99.95%, and the density is more than 10.15g/cm3, which is used to guarantee the quality of glass and the service life of the electrode. Molybdenum electrode size commonly used from 20mm to 152.4mm in diameter, single length can reach 1500mm.
Thanks to the great characteristics such as high strength, oxidation resistance under high working temperature and long service life, molybdenum electrodes are commonly used in daily glass, optical glass, insulation materials, glass fiber, rare earth industry and other fields.
Instead of the original heavy oil and gas energy, the use of molybdenum electrodes can effectively reduce the pollution of the environment and provide the quality of glass. Glass melting molybdenum electrodes must withstand extremely high temperatures and aggressive glass melts. High purity molybdenum is the right material for these challenging conditions.
Advantages of our Moly Electrodes:
Melting point of 2 620 °C (4 748 °F)
Outstanding creep resistance
High dimensional stability
Excellent corrosion resistance
Good electrical and thermal conductivity
Outstanding purity (no less than 99.95%)
Tolerance for molybdenum electrodes in machined surface
Diameter(mm) | Tolerance of Diameter | Length(mm) | Tolerance of length |
16-20mm | ±0.05mm | 300-2000 | ±1mm |
20-30mm | ±0.05mm | 250-2000 | ± 1mm |
30-45mm | ±0.05mm | 250-2000 | ±1mm |
45-60mm | ±0.05mm | 250-1500 | ±1mm |
60-100mm | ±0.1mm | 250-1200 | ±1mm |
