Cemented carbide inserts are mainly made of solid carbide as the matrix through multiple production processes. They have high hardness, wear resistance, good toughness, heat resistance and corrosion resistance. The choice of cemented carbide blade grades should be based on requirements. YG3 has medium strength and impact toughness, but its wear resistance is slightly higher than YG3X. YG3 is suitable for fine boring and fine turning of cast iron and non-ferrous metals. YG6X has better wear resistance than YG6, but its use strength and impact toughness are slightly worse. YG8 strength and impact toughness are better than YG6. YT15 is suitable for semi-finished and refined cars. YT14 is suitable for rough machining of carbon steel, alloy steel and C304 stainless steel uneven surface and semi-finish machining during intermittent cutting. It has a hardness of up to 90.5HRA and a strength of 1270MPa.
YG3: Suitable for finishing of cast iron and non-ferrous metals.
YG6X and YG6A: suitable for finishing and semi-finishing of cast iron and non-ferrous metals, and also for processing of manganese steel and quenched steel.
YG6 and YG8: suitable for rough machining of cast iron and light alloy, and also for milling of cast iron and low alloy steel.
YW1, YW3, YW4: Suitable for finishing and semi-finishing of stainless steel and common alloy steel.
YW2: Suitable for semi-finishing processing of stainless steel and low alloy steel, mainly used for processing train wheel tyres.
YT15 and YT05: Suitable for finishing and semi-finishing of steel and cast steel. It is advisable to use medium feed and high cutting speed.
YT14 and YS25: Suitable for finishing and semi-finishing of steel and cast steel. Medium feed rate should be used. YS25 is dedicated to milling speed of steel and cast steel.
YT5: Suitable for heavy cutting of steel and cast steel, rough machining at medium and low speeds with large feed rates under bad working conditions.
