The organisers of the International Conference on Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials have issued a call for papers for its technical programme.

The event, organized by the Metal Powder Industries Federation and APMI International, in cooperation with the Refractory Metals Association, will be co-located with PowderMet2011, and take place from 18-21 May 2011, in San Francisco, California.

This conference will address recent developments in the refractory and hardmetals field and will encompass refractory and hardmetal processing, microstructure, properties, and applications. A focus session will be held highlighting the state of the tungsten industry in China. Requested submissions include state-of-the-art research, reviews of industrial practices, health of the industry, economic importance and emerging applications. Academia, industrial, and government representatives are encouraged to submit abstracts within the scope of this session.
