International conference of nonferrous materials (ICNFM)

Non-ferrous metals are important engineering materials. They have found wide applications in aerospace, machinery, automobile industry, instrumentation, electronic industry, medicine, chemical engineering, electrical appliance, buildings, etc.

In new millennium, besides energy shortage, we human beings face inevitable resource depletion.

In order to achieve self-sustainable development for non-ferrous metal industries, there are many problems and challenges awaiting for us to solve such as pollution control, recycle and reuse of energy and non-ferrous metals, etc.

Technology development and wide cooperation among academy and industry members are keys to solve these problems.

Many new progresses and significant achievements have recent been made on the effective use of mineral resources; pollution reduction; improvement of traditional nonferrous metals. There have been many new materials, equipments and processes developments and novel applications exploration, lifetime extension, recycle ad reuses of non-ferrous metals, etc.

In order to improve the intercommunication of research progress and keep sustainable development of non-ferrous metal industry, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and Central South University co-organize this "International Conference of Non-ferrous Materials'2007". The conference will be held in Changsha/Zhang Jiajie, Hunan province of China from 2007.11.25 to 2007.11.30.
